Sadies Birth-day!

(Taking a break from A to Z yesterday to spend all day with Ms. Sadie on her second birthday! AND Because yesterday my baby turned 2 I decided it was about time to document her birth-day! Tomorrow I will continue the A to Z!!)

July 20th around 6:00pm, I started feeling contractions, they weren't strong and were 6 minutes apart. I just layed in bed watching tv waiting for them to get closer together. I decided I better eat before I wasn't allowed to, Arby's was the only thing that sounded good. I took a shower and then sat down and watched The Bachlorette. Contractions started getting stronger and closer together. At 7:30 we headed to the the hospital. We got there was put in a room to check if I was in active labor, I was 100% infaced and 2 cm dialated (this is what I was at my last appointment)

I was at the hospital for a hour and then sent home, I was given pain meds and sleeping meds to get me through the night. We headed over Walgreens to get the medication, I got out and walked around the paarking lot and the pain got even worse. We headed to my Aunt's house to walk around her block, during the walk I started having back labor . We headed home, I took the medication and tried to fall asleep but there was no comfort given by the meds, I started getting nauseas and throwing up, I tried taking a warm bath but nothing helped.

The next day July 21 at 3:00am we headed back to the hospital, I was still only 2 cm but I was in so much pain I told the nurse I had to be admitted. A couple minutes later (felt like hours) She came back and said they were admitting me and had to move me down the hall to a delivery room. The walk down the hall way took a long while, contractions make me stop every couple steps.

We got into the room, I got my IV and some morphine in the IV. Then the anesthesiologist came in and got my Epidural in (he was so amazing) but I didnt feel anything because I was already on morphine. The they started me on pitocin (inducing medication) because I didn't dialate anything from 6pm-3am. I took a LONG nap and woke up to the nurse checking to see how far along I was, at 6am I was at 4cm and told I wouldn't have her until that night or even the next morning.

At 7am my Doctor came in to check on me. Every once in awhile the pressure was really hard and I had to have an oxygen mask to keep me calm. At 11:20 the nurse came in to tell me little miss Sadie was moving so much that the belly monitor couldn't get her heart beat and they were going to put a tiny monitor on her head at 11:30 when the Dr came in to put the monitor in he said that It was time for her to come out! What a surprise!

At around 11:45 I started pushing, the nurse told me the lady in the room next to us was pushing too and that we had to beat her to get the baby out! At this moment I could feel the pressure of the cotractions enough to know when it was time to push (since I had a wonderful epidural JUST PERFECT) I only pushed for about 15 minutes and at 11:59 am Sadie Manson was born!! (Yes, little miss beat the baby next door into this world!)

I only had to get 1 stitch and could walk that night! Delivery was so amazing and had no problems. Compared to the 9 months of pregnancy, Labor was a breeze! I was completely blessed. And Sadie was so perfect the 2 days we spent in the hospital, I rarely sent her to the nursery because she didn't cry and just slept.
